What we’ll do (Itinerary)

Safety Orientation & Bike Familiarization (15-20 minutes): We begin with a thorough, hands-on safety briefing at our secure meeting point in Bend. I’ll cover Oregon road rules, group riding protocols, hand signals, emergency procedures, and weather/terrain awareness specific to Central Oregon’s high-desert and mountain routes. Every rider receives a full bike inspection and familiarization session so you feel confident and comfortable. Safety is our top priority — all participants must wear a DOT-approved helmet (provided if needed), and I’ll confirm licensing and insurance compliance before we roll. This step ensures everyone rides safely and enjoys the adventure responsibly.
Guided Scenic Motorcycle Ride through Bend’s Iconic Backroads (2-3 hours): We’ll hit the pavement on carefully selected routes that showcase why Bend is a world-class adventure destination — winding high-desert roads, pine forests, volcanic vistas, and views of the Cascade Mountains. As your local expert with 25 years of experience, I’ll lead at a comfortable pace matched to the group’s skill level, with frequent stops for photos, hydration, and quick tips. You’ll actively participate by riding your own (or provided) motorcycle, learning local riding lines, and connecting with fellow riders and the stunning natural surroundings. Small groups (max 6) keep the experience personal, safe, and immersive.
Scenic Viewpoint Stops & Reflection with Local Insights (30-45 minutes): We’ll pause at hand-picked overlooks and pullouts for breathtaking views of Bend’s unique landscape (rivers, buttes, and peaks). Here you’ll have time to take photos, stretch, and hear my insider stories about the area’s outdoor heritage and hidden gems. This is where real connections happen — sharing riding stories, asking questions, and soaking in Central Oregon’s beauty together. I’ll provide water/snacks and ensure everyone stays hydrated and safe before we continue or return.
Safe Return, Debrief & Wrap-Up (15-20 minutes): We return to our starting point with a final safety check and group debrief. I’ll answer any questions, share route recommendations for your independent riding, and collect feedback to make future rides even better. Every guest leaves with memories of an authentic Bend adventure, plus practical knowledge to explore responsibly on their own.

Total duration: Approximately 3–4 hours (flexible based on group pace and chosen route).

Group size: 2–6 riders (minimum 2 for the experience to run).

Difficulty: Beginner-friendly to intermediate — routes chosen to match the group. No off-road unless specifically requested and approved in advance.

Rigorous Safety Protocols for Every Ride

We never compromise on safety. Every experience follows these strict steps:

Pre-Ride Safety Briefing — Comprehensive orientation covering Oregon road rules, group riding signals, emergency procedures, terrain awareness, and weather considerations specific to high-desert and mountain routes.
Bike Inspection and Familiarization — Every motorcycle receives a full pre-ride safety check. We provide hands-on familiarization so you feel confident and comfortable before departure.
Protective Gear — DOT-approved helmets are required (provided if needed). We recommend and can assist with layered clothing, closed-toe boots, gloves, and eye protection suited to Central Oregon’s variable conditions.
Small Group Limits — Maximum 6 riders per ride for personalized attention, better communication, and safer group dynamics.
Pace and Route Matching — Routes and speed are carefully chosen to match the group’s skill level. We always have backup plans if conditions change.
Ongoing Monitoring — As your experienced lead guide, I constantly assess road conditions, rider comfort, and group safety throughout the ride.

Safe and Suitable Locations

All rides start and end at a secure, convenient meeting point in Bend. The routes we choose are well-maintained public roads typically used for scenic motorcycle riding — clean, comfortable, and appropriate for the activity. We only use locations that are safe and sized properly for our small groups, with easy access to rest stops, viewpoints, and emergency services when needed.

Emergency Preparedness

We maintain a clear emergency action plan for every ride:

Detailed itinerary shared in advance with specific instructions for what to do if someone becomes separated or injured.
First-aid kit, basic tools, hydration supplies, and communication devices carried on every ride.
Knowledge of nearby medical facilities and emergency contacts in the Bend area.
In any emergency, we immediately contact local police or emergency services.

Guests are encouraged to prepare their own personal emergency information (such as medical conditions or allergies) and share it with us privately before the ride.

What We Expect from Guests

To keep everyone safe, participants must:

Hold a valid motorcycle license with appropriate endorsement.
Ride at a level that matches the chosen route (we discuss this during booking).
Follow all safety instructions and group riding protocols.
Arrive on time, well-rested, and free from impairing substances.
